The Hammers are allegedly prepared to part with €30 million (£26 million) to sign the 23-year-old centre-back (Juve Live).

Central defence is an area where West Ham really need to strengthen this summer.

Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson are 33 and 31 respectively whilst Fabian Balbuena is set to leave on a free transfer this summer.

Meanwhile, the jury is still out on Issa Diop.

West Ham closing in on Nikola Milenkovic?

The Hammers are thought to be one step away from bringing the Serbia international to the London Stadium according to a report from Juve Live.

The 23-year-old who earns just £24k-a-week according to Salary Sport, would be a truly exceptional signing for West Ham.

In 34 Serie A appearances for Fiorentina this season, the Serbian scored three goals and registered one assist. In those outings, he averaged 1.4 tackles, 1.3 interceptions, 3.6 clearances and one block per match. The 23-year-old won an average of 3 aerial duals per game. He also had an 86% pass completion rate from an average of 46.6 passes per match (Who Scored).

He has been described as the ‘new Nemanja Vidic’ (Football.London).

In spite of all of that, £26 million does seem a little steep for a player with just 12 months remaining on his current deal.

Perhaps £15 million would be a fairer price. £20 million absolute tops.

Only time will tell whether Milenkovic ends up at the London Stadium. One things for sure though, West Ham should be going all out to sign him.
