West Ham United fans should be very excited about one of our reported summer transfer window plans.
The January window was a very quiet one at West Ham, with Evan Ferguson the only new player being brought in.
Graham Potter did bring James Ward-Prowse back to the London Stadium, but the Hammers fans wanted so much more than that.
The good news is that it seems like Potter was keeping his powder dry for a big summer rebuild at West Ham.
The Hammers head coach needs to strengthen his squad in pretty much every single department if truth be known.
However, the addition of an elite striker in the summer really could take the Hammers to a whole new level all together.

And judging by the latest rumours out in France, Potter firmly agrees with that notion.
It just remains to be seen whether the West Ham owners are on board as well.
West Ham move early to secure £67m deal for Hugo Ekitike
Signing a top-class striker will clearly be a priority for Potter in the summer transfer window.
And the Hammers head coach’s latest transfer target is the most exciting name we’ve seen linked with a London Stadium switch yet.
Foot Mercato claim that West Ham want to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike this summer.
The Hammers owners are already positioning themselves ahead of the competition to secure a deal for the jet-heeled 22-year-old.
However, Frankfurt will allegedly demand as much as £67 million for Ekitike.
That really would be a statement move from West Ham.

West Ham have been linked with a move to sign Hugo Ekitike on numerous occasions before, most recently in January.
Described as ‘unbelievable’ by Sky Sports, Ekitike would be an absolutely perfect signing for the Hammers, what with his explosive pace, incredible movement and prolific finishing ability.
He has bagged 18 goals and six assists in 34 games for Eintracht Frankfurt this season (Transfermarkt).
Hugo Ekitike would take West Ham to a whole new level entirely, if we manage to sign him this summer.
However, the £67 million required to prise him away from Deutsche Bank Park seems like an extortionate amount of money, and I just can’t see the Hammers owners parting with that kind of cash.
I really hope I’m wrong, because the former Reims and Paris Saint-Germain ace would be a spectacular signing for us.
