West Ham boss David Moyes is after just three key signings this summer.

Claret and Hugh claims that the Scot is looking to sign a striker, a centre-back and Jesse Lingard on a permanent deal.

All of those three signings need to be made of course.

We just think that the Hammers boss could be on the verge of making a huge error if he doesn’t sign a central midfielder, a left-back and a goalkeeper as well this summer.

It could even be argued that we actually need another striker as well!

West Ham boss David Moyes about to make a big mistake?

West Ham have Europa League football to contend with next season. That, along with 38 Premier League games and two domestic cup competitions means that Moyes’s squad will be pushed to the limit.

Failing to sign a top class central midfielder would be an absolute kamikaze move from the Hammers boss.

The same can be said for a left-back.

Signing a new goalkeeper perhaps isn’t as pressing of an issue as the two mentioned above, but with Lukasz Fabianski on the wrong side of 36 and on the decline, the addition of a top class stopper should definitely be on Moyes’s agenda.

Let’s hope that Moyes understand that he needs to make five signings at the very least this summer.

C&H’s report could of course just be David Sullivan putting out the feelers regarding the summer transfer window ahead. The West Ham co-owner could very well be trying to convince the fans that it is Moyes who doesn’t want to adequately strengthen his squad rather than him.

Let’s just hope that whatever happens, Moyes gets the players HE wants this summer at the very least.
