West Ham have made an offer for Barcelona left-back Junior Firpo according to a report from Mundo Deportivo (print edition, June 24th, page 18).

And what’s more, Barca ‘like’ the offer submitted by the Hammers.

The problem for West Ham, however, is that Firpo would prefer a move to AC Milan this summer.

The Serie A side are reluctant to sign the 24-year-old outright, however and would prefer to bring him to the San Siro on loan with an option to buy according to a report from Mundo Deportivo (print edition, June 24th, page 18).

Firpo would be a tremendous addition for West Ham.

What with our weakness at left-back, David Moyes would be making a great decision by bringing the Barcelona star to the London Stadium this summer.

West Ham make offer for Firpo

Mundo Deportivo (print edition, June 24th, page 18) claims that the Hammers have made an offer for the 24-year-old – one that Barcelona are happy with.

There is a problem, however.

Firpo himself is keen on joining AC Milan instead. Whether he will get the chance to do that, however, remains to be seen with the Serie A side reluctant to make a permanent offer for the left-back.

Hopefully West Ham can take advantage of that.

If Milan don’t come in with an offer to sign Firpo permanently, the Hammers surely have a great chance to bring him to East London.

Calcio Mercato reckon Firpo could be available for just £13m this summer. That represents outstanding value for the Hammers. We think there’s a good chance of this one happening. Hopefully Milan will drop out of the race and clear the path for the Barca ace to move to the London Stadium this summer.
