Mads Hermansen joined West Ham United in the summer from Leicester City but he has struggled to establish himself at the London Stadium.
Hermansen has played just five games for West Ham so far and has conceded a shocking 12 goals during those appearances.
It was no surprise when the Dane quickly lost his place in the starting XI to Alphonse Areola.
We all love the club to bits, but let’s be real – what would you have to tell a new signing to convince them to join?! 😔
Hermansen’s time at West Ham has been really challenging for both him and the fans who’ve had to watch him flap around between the sticks.
The 25-year-old joined the Hammers from Leicester City in the summer for around £20 million (BBC Sport).
West Ham were eyeing a deal to sign Antonin Kinsky from Tottenham but any chance of that happening was put to bed when the Spurs stopper insisted that he didn’t want to move to the London Stadium.
So what does the future hold for Hermansen? Well it seems like the Hammers have taken a strong stance on the former Leicester City man on deadline day.
West Ham make Mads Hermansen U-turn on deadline day
Hermansen was signed by Graham Potter because of the ability he possesses with his feet.
However, he has proven to be a poor shot-stopper and has displayed next to no command of his penalty area.
He clearly isn’t happy at the London Stadium, and why would he be?

Hermansen is not playing and whenever he has played he’s looked hopelessly out of his depth.
Now it seems like he is very keen to bring his failed six-month stint with West Ham to an end.
According to BBC Sport, the Danish goalkeeper is pushing hard to leave West Ham on deadline day.
However, West Ham are reluctant to let Hermansen leave.
Any way Hermansen could leave West Ham on deadline day?
The only way the Hammers will be prepared to sanction the goalkeeper’s exit is if they manage to find a replacement before the January transfer window slams shut.
How much of the £40m that we spent on Max Kilman could we realistically get back?!
That’s quite the change in stance from earlier on in the window, when West Ham were pushing to send Hermansen to Leicester City, according to the Evening Standard.
It’s clear that the Hammers hierarchy are not big fans of Hermansen.
However, if they allowed him to leave on deadline day, the only cover for Areola would be 40-year-old Lukasz Fabianski, who is currently out injured.
Hermansen will most likely leave West Ham in the summer transfer window.
But for now, he will almost certainly remain at the London Stadium beyond transfer deadline day.
