West Ham have made contact with Benfica about the possibility of signing Haris Seferovic according to a report from O Jogo (print edition, July 5th, page 13).

Hammers boss David Moyes seems to be searching far and wide for a new centre-forward.
It is absolutely vital that the Scot brings the right type of striker to the London Stadium this summer.
West Ham just never seem to get it right when it comes to centre-forward signings.
RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.
After the additions of John Hartson and Paul Kitson in the late 90’s, we haven’t had much luck when it comes to bringing strikers to the club.
The Hammers have been linked with at least 30 centre-forwards since Sebastien Haller left for Ajax in January. And now a new name has been added to the list.
West Ham want Haris Seferovic
That’s according to O Jogo (print edition, July 5th, page 13).
Come on though…seriously. Surely West Ham could and should be aiming a lot higher than signing the 29-year-old Benfica hitman.
The Benfica ace is a hard worker with very good movement, but his finishing isn’t the best and he has been known to miss some real sitters throughout his career.
Seferovic is decent in the air and would act as a good focal point for the Hammers’ attacking play.
Benfica want €30 million (£25 million) for him, however, according to a report from Correio da Manha.
That’s just too much money for Seferovic considering his goalscoring record.
He has just 116 goals in 408 career games to his name (Transfermarkt).
