West Ham United are eyeing up a potential move to sign Inter Milan ace Robin Gosens in the January transfer window.

That’s according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport who claim that the Hammers are trying to ‘entice’ Inter with a ‘rich’ offer for the 28-year-old left wing-back.

West Ham manager David Moyes actually tried to bring Gosens to the London Stadium two years ago, but eventually missed out on his signature.

The 14-capped Germany international has been a terrific player for Atalanta over the past five years, but joined Inter Milan in January this year.

However, he has really struggled for game-time this season under Simone Inzaghi. And as a result, he could be moved on to pastures new in January…

West Ham eye up Robin Gosens swoop

Gazzetta dello Sport reckon that the Hammers are lining up a January swoop for the Inter Milan ace but could face competition for his signature from the likes of Leicester City and Bayer Leverkusen.

Gosens is an attacking left-back. The 28-year-old German racked up a mightily impressive 29 goals and 21 assists in 157 games for Atalanta (Transfermarkt).

He only has two goals and one assist to his name in 25 games for Inter though (Transfermarkt).

I think Gosens would be a superb signing for West Ham.

The 28-year-old is an attacking full-back in every sense, has pace and power in abundance and he would be an ideal fit for the frenetically paced Premier League.

He’s valued at around €25 million (£22 million) by Inter Milan according to Get Football News Italy.

Hopefully Moyes manages to bring him to East London in January. If the Scot really is after the Inter Milan ace, it might be an indication that he regrets signing Emerson in the summer.

It did seem like somewhat of a panic buy at the time, and the signing of the 28-year-old German in January would confirm that.

Robin Gosens really could take West Ham to another level entirely.
