West Ham are being linked with an exciting move to sign Jefferson Lerma on a free transfer this summer.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, West Ham want to sign Jefferson Lerma when his contract with Bournemouth expires at the end of next month.

However, the Hammers could face competition from Crystal Palace and Leicester City for the 28-year-old midfielder’s signature.

David Moyes will clearly be keen to bolster his central midfield ranks at the London Stadium this summer, with Declan Rice expected to leave.
And it seems as though the Scot is eyeing a thrifty piece of business…
West Ham eyeing Jefferson Lerma free transfer
TEAMtalk reckon that Moyes is eyeing up a move to bring the 33-capped Colombia international to the London Stadium for absolutely nothing this summer.
I think that the 28-year-old would be a superb addition to Moyes’s ranks, especially on a free transfer.
Bournemouth boss Gary O’Neill described Lerma as ‘incredible’ (Bournemouth Echo).

The Colombian is a defensive midfielder by trade but he can operate further up the pitch as well if need be.
Lerma has energy, power, pace and stamina in abundance, and he is technically very good with the ball at his feet as well.
The Bournemouth ace should not be considered as a like for like replacement for Declan Rice, but if Moyes brings him to the London Stadium in addition to another top-class central midfielder then I think it would be a very smart move from the Scot.
West Ham signing Jefferson Lerma on a free transfer this summer seems like an absolute no-brainer as far as I’m concerned.
