A return to the Bundesliga has been mooted for the 26-year-old striker.
Sebastien Haller joined the Hammers from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2019 for around £45 million (BBC).
The Ivory Coast international has really struggled since moving to the London Stadium, however.
Some say West Ham boss David Moyes doesn’t set up his team to get the best out of him. Meanwhile, others suggest that he is quite simply not good enough for the Premier League. There are arguments to be had for both sides.

Claret and Hugh claims that Haller’s time in east London could soon be set to end with a move back to the Bundesliga on the cards in the summer.
West Ham ready to lose out on Haller
The Hammers are allegedly prepared to accept a £20 million loss on the 6ft 3in target man. That says all we need to know about how much he is fancied by David Moyes.
The whole situation is incredibly frustrating. The Ivorian has so much talent. West Ham legend Joe Cole recently described the big striker as ‘unreal’ when when speaking on the All To Play For podcast.

At this point in his career, it’s probably best for Haller to move on. Maybe West Ham haven’t utilised him correctly but there is a lot to be said for making things happen for yourself.
Unfortunately, it seems as though the former Eintracht Frankfurt ace quite simply isn’t strong, robust or quick enough for top flight English footballer.
A move away in the summer would suit Haller, West Ham and David Moyes. Let’s just hope we manage to secure a decent fee for his services.
