Claret and Hugh have suggested a report claiming that West Ham United will not be able to afford Jesse Lingard is well wide of the mark.

The Daily Mail reckon that the Hammers might not be able to sign the 28-year-old permanently from Manchester United this summer due to a lack of finances.
Lingard has been in sensational form since moving to the London Stadium on loan from Man United in January.
Getting him signed up on a permanent deal in the summer will a difficult task for David Moyes.

There will surely be plenty of competition for Jesse’ signature. And with The Daily Mail reporting that West Ham have minimal funds to play with, it is understandable that some Hammers fans are nervous about missing out on Lingard.

And that really is great news for the Hammers fans.
We need to get a permanent deal for Jesse wrapped up as soon as this season finishes. It may not be easy but the West Ham owners just need to find a way of getting it done.

Lingard seems very happy in East London. And if we qualify for Europe, there is no reason why West Ham won’t be able to make it happen.
