West Ham United are allegedly in talks to sign talented Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb who claim that Napoli will only sell the 28-year-old to the Hammers for a minimum of €45 million (£38 million).

That’s an awful lot of money to pay for someone who is 28.
The 72-capped Poland international is undoubtedly a huge talent though and has the kind of ability that would definitely take West Ham’s attacking play to another level.
David Moyes missed out on bringing Jesse Lingard to the London Stadium this week, with the 29-year-old choosing to join Nottingham Forest instead.

Hammers skipper Declan Rice was clearly unhappy at being denied a reunion with Lingard. We think that not caving into his demands was the right decision from the West Ham owners, however.
And it seems as though something a lot better could be on the horizon for us anyway…
West Ham in Piotr Zielinski talks
Hammers boss David Moyes is in talks to bring the 28-year-old attacking midfielder to the London Stadium this summer according to Italian publication TuttoMercatoWeb.
These are hugely exciting times for the West Ham fans.
David Moyes has already signed Nayef Aguerd, Alphonse Areola, Flynn Downes and even talented youngster Patrick Kelly already this summer.
The Scot is one the verge of bringing brilliant Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca to the London Stadium as well (Fabrizio Romano).
And it now appears as though the addition of a top-class attacking midfielder is the next item on Moyes’s agenda.
We believe that Zielinski would be a very strong addition indeed to the West Ham squad.

The 28-year-old bagged eight goals and five assists in 42 games for Napoli last season and in the 2020/21 campaign, he racked up 10 goals and 13 assists in 47 games (Transfermarkt).
In 35 Serie A outings last season, Zielinski made 36.1 passes on average per game and recorded an impressive completion rate of 84.8%. He also made an average of 1.4 key passes per match (Who Scored).
talkSPORT recently described the attacking midfielder as ‘world-class’.
The Poland international is a very good footballer indeed. As long as he adjusts to the fast tempo and physical nature of premier League football, he would undoubtedly be a huge hit in England.
And if West Ham sign Piotr Zielinski, we think it would be a big statement from the East London outfit. However, whether the Hammers owners are prepared to pay £38 million for the Napoli man remains to be seen, especially after splashing out so much cash already this summer.
