Hammers boss David Moyes has plenty of work to do at the London Stadium this summer.

Aside from centre-forward, one area in particular that needs strengthening is the centre-back department.

Fabian Balbuena has already been released whilst Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson are 33 and 31 respectively.

Meanwhile, the jury is still out on Issa Diop.

West Ham keeping close eye on Attila Szalai

NTV Spor claims that the 23-year-old Hungary international is on the Hammers’ radar.

David Moyes will keep a close eye on the towering centre-back during the Euros.

And West Ham are then expected to make an approach to sign Szalai after the Euros have finished.

We think that the Hungary international would be a fine addition to Moyes’s squad.

Standing at 6ft 4in tall, the 23-year-old is an imposing figure. He is incredibly strong, athletic and dominant in the air.

The Hungarian is a tenacious tackler and plays with a real kind of aggression that makes him ideally suited to the robust and intense nature of the Premier League.

Fenerbahce will not consider selling him for anything less than €25 million (£21.4 million) according to A Spor.

That may well represent somewhat of a risk for West Ham. His performances during the Euros will be a strong indication as to his true talents, however.

And if he enjoys a successful tournament, it will be no surprise to see David Moyes make a move to sign him next month.
