West Ham United may have their work cut-out if they are to sign Raul de Tomas this summer with Leeds United allegedly keen on him as well.
According to Fichajes, the Hammers and the Whites could go head-to-head for the Espanyol striker’s signature.
David Moyes will be desperate to bolster this centre-forward ranks at the London Stadium this summer.
The same can be said of Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road.
Fichajes reckon that West Ham and Leeds could be set to battle it out for Espanyol hitman Raul de Tomas this summer.
The 26-year-old has been in fine form this season, with 16 goals in 29 league games to his name for Espanyol (Transfermarkt).
He is a very good all around striker.
According to Who Scored, De Tomas is a good dribbler, is strong in the air and always contributes defensively. The Spaniard is clearly a good finisher as well, with 16 league goals to his name so far this season.
West Ham and Leeds set for Raul de Tomas battle?
De Tomas would be a useful addition for West Ham. Leeds chasing his signature as well will undoubtedly be an unwelcome inconvenience for the East London club, however.
Fichajes claims that David Moyes has asked for the 26-year-old striker to be signed this summer. So it seems as though the Hammers are slightly more advanced in their attempts to sign De Tomas than Leeds are.
With a manager like Marcelo Bielsa in charge at Leeds, however, it might well be hard to convince the Spaniard to choose a move to East London instead of West Yorkshire this summer.
Who knows though. West Ham are flying high in the league at the moment. And qualification for Europe this season may well put us in pole position in the race for De Tomas.
