Hammers boss David Moyes will undoubtedly be on the look-out for a new left-back this summer.

Aaron Cresswell is 31 whilst Arthur Masuaku isn’t consistent enough from a defensive perspective.

One player to have been linked regularly with a move to the London Stadium since last summer is Junior Firpo (Mundo Deportivo).

The Barcelona left-back is available for around £18 million (Sport).

West Ham handed Junior Firpo boost

Calcio Mercato claims that whilst the 24-year-old is keen to join AC Milan, the Hammers have an advantage over the Italians because we are in a position to buy him outright.

Milan allegedly would prefer a loan deal, however, with an option to buy the Spaniard at the end of the season.

We think that Firpo would be the absolutely ideal addition to David Moyes’s squad this summer.

He has been described as an outstanding player who excels in 1v1’s, both from an attacking and a defensive perspective (Total Football Analysis).

The Spaniard can operate with equal efficiency as both a left-back and a left wing-back.

£18 million would be great value for Firpo. We need to get a deal to sign the 24-year-old wrapped up as soon as possible.
