Nottingham Forest are opening to terminating the contract of Jesse Lingard in news that will be music to West Ham fans’ ears.
TEAMtalk claims that the powers that be at Forest have been completely underwhelmed by Lingard’s impact at the City Ground, since making him the club’s highest earner in the summer.
That was mostly down to the fact that Forest offered the 29-year-old a whopping £180k-a-week salary, according to The Evening Standard.

At the time, Moyes and some West Ham fans were baffled that Lingard didn’t return to the London Stadium.
Lingard has gone on to really struggle with Nottingham Forest though, and he is still yet to register either a goal or an assist in 12 Premier League games to date (Transfermarkt).
And the ex-Manchester United man may well be heading for the City Ground exit door already…
Nottingham Forest could terminate Jesse Lingard contract
TEAMtalk claims claims that Forest are open to allowing Lingard to leave the club for nothing in the January transfer window.
He has been truly awful for the East Midlands outfit so far this season.
And missing out on him in the summer transfer window now looks like a really lucky escape.

The fact that David Moyes didn’t sign Jesse enabled him to bring Lucas Paqueta to the London Stadium instead.
The difference between the Brazilian and the English is night and day.
Missing out on the 29-year-old seemed like a huge blow for the Hammers at the time.
It now looks like a big blessing in disguise though, with the news that Nottingham Forest could terminate the contract of Jesse Lingard.
