Some West Ham United fans have reacted on Twitter to a claim from talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook suggesting that the Hammers have been priced out of a move for Bournemouth striker Josh King.
The east London outfit have been linked with a move to sign the 28-year-old since the summer.
Claret and Hugh recently claimed that the Hammers are eyeing a bargain £10 million deal for Josh King.
With David Moyes having sold Sebastien Haller to Ajax, signing a new striker is now a matter of urgency.
Many West Ham fans wouldn’t be overwhelmed with the addition of Josh King. He really is very underrated, however, and would do a very good job for us.
The 52-capped international is a hard working striker and is capable of playing anywhere along the front-line.
It seems as though West Ham won’t be bringing Josh King to the London Stadium this month, however.
talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook claims the Hammers have been priced out of a move for the Bournemouth striker:
In some ways, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. King is out of contract with the Cherries in the summer.
So if we are still interested in the 28-year-old then, we will be able to sign him for absolutely nothing. In fact, it would surely make more sense to wait another six months before trying to sign the Norwegian.
