Ecuadorian journalist Jorge Pazmino claimed yesterday that the Hammers have already made a formal bid for the 19-year-old star.
That came after the Daily Record claimed in December that West Ham were battling the likes of Manchester United for £5.5 million-rated Caicedo’s signature.
Everton are another club trying to sign the Independiente del Valle youngster according to Extra.

It seems like West Ham certainly have their work cut-out.
The exciting youngster is clearly a real talent with incredible amounts of potential.
West Ham after Moises Caicedo
ExWHUemployee suggested that Hammers boss David Moyes does want to bring Moises Caicedo to the London Stadium, but it will be far from easy:
The 19-year-old has racked up six goals and two assists in 30 games for Independiente del Valle (Transfermarkt).

Caicedo is most comfortable when playing in the holding central midfield role. He has also flourished in the box-to-box role, however.
The teenager is highly energetic and is an aggressive presser according to the Daily Record. So he would suit David Moyes’s system at West Ham perfectly.
The Hammers owners have never been good at getting deals done for players when there is stiff competition from other clubs, however.
So no West Ham fan will be getting their hopes up just yet. Let’s just hope and pray that David Sullivan and co pull this one out the bag. Moises Caicedo is a truly top class young talent. He’s just the sort of signing that David Moyes should be making.
