West Ham United have been linked with all and sundry since selling Sebastien Haller.

ExWHUemployee claims Moyes wants Besiktas striker and adds two more names to the mix

But one reported target appears to have captured the imagination more than any other.

According to the likes of The Mirror, West Ham want to sign RB Salzburg striker Patson Daka.

And David Moyes could have an ‘in’ to help grease the wheels.

West Ham linked with Daka after Haller departure

The 22-year-old Zambian striker is represented by the agency run by former West Ham striker Frederic Kanoute.

Daka has been in superb form for RB Salzburg this season, racking up 15 goals in 17 games in all competitions (Transfermarkt). Indeed he has 42 goals in his last 62 games for the club.

But it is a video that has emerged on Twitter which has left West Ham fans begging Moyes to try and push through a deal.

Footage from the Austrian league rarely gets much attention.

A brief clip of Daka in action has been all the talk among West Ham fans, though.

Video showing striker target’s breathtaking pace has Hammers fans saying the same thing

It is not video showing Daka’s goals, assists, skills or strength that has Hammers supporters excited.

But footage showcasing his breathtaking pace instead.

The video posted by a West Ham fan has already had over 75,000 views and show Daka sprinting at break neck speed covering nearly half the pitch in less than FIVE seconds.

Daka’s speed is something to behold.

And after watching the clip, West Ham fans were all saying the same thing ‘sign him up because he’s perfect for our counter attacking play’.

The prospect of adding Daka’s pace to West Ham’s armory is tantalising.

After selling Haller, Moyes only has Michail Antonio to call on up front in his first team squad.

Electric Daka would make facing West Ham a completely different proposition.

Here’s a selection of comments from West Ham fans after witnessing Daka’s outrageous pace.
