West Ham could be interested in a short-term loan deal for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, according to a report from Claret and Hugh. And some Hammers fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

David Moyes could do with bringing an established centre-forward to the London Stadium in January.
Sebastien Haller and Michail Antonio are our only two current centre-forward options.
And with Antonio currently out injured, we are incredibly stretched up front.
Claret and Hugh claims that West Ham could make a January swoop for Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman is allegedly frustrated at his lack of game-time at Stamford Bridge, and Frank Lampard could be tempted to move him on with the amount of attacking options currently at his disposal.
The 34-year-old has received plenty of criticism in the past. A lot of that has been incredibly unfair, however.
The former Arsenal man has 211 club goals to his name during his career. He has also scored 42 goals in 102 appearances for France (Transfermarkt). Giroud wouldn’t have earned that many international caps for Les Bleus if he wasn’t any good.
As a short-term option until the end of the season, he would surely be a useful addition for the Hammers.
