Claret and Hugh claims that West Ham could make a January swoop for Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman is allegedly frustrated at his lack of game-time at Stamford Bridge, and Frank Lampard could be tempted to move him on with the amount of attacking options currently at his disposal.

The former Arsenal man has 211 club goals to his name during his career. He has also scored 42 goals in 102 appearances for France (Transfermarkt). Giroud wouldn’t have earned that many international caps for Les Bleus if he wasn’t any good.

As a short-term option until the end of the season, he would surely be a useful addition for the Hammers.

And some West Ham fans seem to agree…
