Some of West Ham United’s key players have been linked away this summer but a recent transfer update involving Jean-Clair Todibo, Alphonse Areola and Max Kilman has gone down well with supporters.

While West Ham United are desperately hoping to keep the likes of Jarrod Bowen despite their relegation to the Championship, fans won’t shed much of a tear if others were to depart.

Indeed, a recent report from EX-WHU Employee suggests that Todibo, Areola and Kilman could all leave West Ham this summer.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, that has been met with delight among Hammers News readers and subscribers.

The fact that all three have struggled – alongside numerous others – speaks to an incredibly flawed recruitment plan at the club.

Still, that is not to absolve any of them of any blame from some of their performances.

Todibo and Areola dropped out of the team under Nuno Espirito Santo while West Ham were on a run of reasonably good form from January onwards, although it wasn’t enough to keep them in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Kilman was booed by West Ham fans during an FA Cup game against Leeds back in April.

There would appear to be little way back for him anyway, so a move is probably best for all parties at this stage.

Finding a buyer, however, would be difficult and Kilman is reportedly expected to seek a loan move away from West Ham this summer.
