West Ham’s decision to keep Nuno Espirito Santo appears to have been bad news for several first-team players.
Alphonse Areola, Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo all fell out of favour during the second half of the 2025/26 season.
Fresh updates have now emerged on whether they will leave the London Stadium during the summer transfer window.

What should West Ham do with Max Kilman this summer — keep, loan or sell? 🤔

Jean-Clair Todibo, Alphonse Areola and Max Kilman all tipped to leave West Ham
Areola and Todibo are both unlikely to play for West Ham again following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
They fell out with Nuno towards the end of the season, and Todibo was even dropped from the matchday squad.
“[They are] expected to depart following disagreements and frustrations with their playing time,” ExWHUEmployee has explained.
“Todibo refused to be part of the final game of the season following his early substitution at Newcastle, and there have been other incidents during his time at the club.
“Areola’s wife took to social media to vent her anger at her husband’s treatment too. A couple of French and Italian teams are said to be looking at the pair.”
It would not be surprising at all to see both Areola and Todibo depart for European clubs over the coming months.

Meanwhile, Kilman could also be on his way out of East London this summer, but not on a permanent deal.
“Max Kilman is also likely to depart; however, at this stage, it’s more likely to be a loan move,” the report continued.
Kilman was dropped from Nuno’s starting XI after Axel Disasi arrived on loan from Chelsea in the January window.
However, with Disasi returning to Chelsea and Todibo expected to leave, Kilman would be a useful option in the Championship.
Unless Kilman is forcing a move, it is difficult to understand why Nuno would not want to keep him at the club.
The Englishman might have struggled in the Premier League lately, but surely he could excel in the second division.
