Four Premier League wonderkids West Ham should sign on loan

West Ham’s financial problems mean they should look for creative ways to improve their first-team squad next season.

Several opportunities could arise as Premier League clubs make young players available on loan this summer.

Hammers News has listed four wonderkids who would immediately strengthen Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

DISCUSS: Keeping Adama Traore is a bad idea 😡

He's done nothing!

Tyler Dibling (Everton)

Tyler Dibling joined Everton for £40 million last summer following a breakthrough campaign at Southampton.

The 20-year-old looked like an exciting prospect, dazzling defenders with his quick feet and trickery, but his career has stagnated.

Dibling made just 18 appearances in all competitions this season, as David Moyes appeared not to trust him.

The England U21 international would benefit from a loan move, and West Ham could be the perfect club for his development.

As an ideal Crysencio Summerville replacement, Dibling should receive plenty of the ball in a dominant Championship side.

Shea Lacey (Manchester United)

It is always difficult to assess whether academy players are ready for senior football, but Shea Lacey is worth the risk.

The Manchester United winger contributed eight goals and three assists in the Premier League 2 this season.

He also played 40 minutes of Premier League football across three substitute appearances for the Red Devils.

Given that he probably will not be included in Michael Carrick’s first-team squad, he may be seeking a Championship loan move.

Lacey would provide a creative spark in the final third as a versatile attacker who can play on either wing or behind the striker.

What would YOU say to clubs hoping to sign Mohamadou Kante?

Harry Amass (Manchester United)

Harry Amass is another promising Man Utd academy graduate who has already completed two Championship loan moves.

Amass spent the first half of the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, where he stood out in a struggling team.

He then joined Norwich City in January, but he only made one appearance before suffering a hamstring injury.

It is probably too soon for him to compete with Luke Shaw in United’s first team, paving the way for a third Championship spell.

West Ham could sign Amass as a replacement for El-Hadji Malick Diouf, assuming he leaves in the summer window.

Amario Cozier-Duberry (Brighton)

Amario Cozier-Duberry was one of the best players in League One during his loan spell at Bolton this season.

The right-winger scored eight goals and assisted another 12, including one against Stockport County in the play-off final.

It is a significant jump from League One to (hopefully) the top of the Championship, but Cozier-Duberry seems ready for it.

The 21-year-old would be a fantastic option to rotate with club captain Jarrod Bowen, who could play up front at times next season.
