According to a report from Le 10 Sport, West Ham have identified Stade Reims centre-forward Boulaye Dia as a priority target after the sale of Sebastien Haller went through today.
The Stade Reims striker’s agent Frederic Guerra has suggested that West Ham have already made an approach to sign his client (Le 10 Sport).
And some Hammers fans have reacted to the speculation on Twitter.
West Ham boss David Moyes will be desperate to add a new striker to his ranks at the London Stadium.
With Haller now gone, the Scot has only Michail Antonio to call upon in the centre-forward position.
So is Boulaye Dia the man for the job? Some West Ham fans think so…
The 24-year-old is a real talent. He is described as an athletic, direct and pacy striker by Ligue 1’s official website.
He is powerful, robust and at the perfect age to make the move to England from France.
The Senegal international has been on fire for Stade Reims this season with 10 goals in 16 Ligue 1 appearances to his name (Transfermarkt).
Dia seems to be perfectly suited to the robust and intense nature of the Premier League.
Claret and Hugh have claimed that he could be picked up for just £10 million. That would represent excellent value for West Ham.
We really need to get this one done. Whether David Sullivan is prepared to back Moysie in the transfer market, however, remains to be seen.
