Some West Ham United fans have reacted to the news that David Moyes could sign one time target Maxi Gomez for just €18 million (£15 million) this summer (AS, print edition, page 18, March 24th).

The Hammers desperately need to sign two top class centre-forwards this summer.
David Moyes will be desperate to bolster his attacking ranks at the London Stadium.
West Ham failed to replace Sebastien Haller in January. It was a crazy decision at the time but what’s done is done.

And that must be rectified in the summer.
AS (Print edition, page 18, March 24th) reckon that £15 million rated Maxi Gomez could be an option for the Hammers.
We’ve been down this road before, however.
Sky Sports reported in July 2019 that West Ham were closing in on a deal to sign the Uruguay international for around £43 million.
The 24-year-old ended up joining Valencia, however.
Gomez has struggled during his time with Los Che, with just 15 goals in 67 games to his name (Transfermarkt).
The South American is still young of course. So he may still have a lot to offer in the Premier League.
