It has been unfair in truth. The Algeria international has been superb for the Hammers at times this season.
The 25-year-old offers West Ham something that we do not otherwise possess. His ability to carry the ball in tight spaces offers us a great outlet when we’re under the cosh.
Said Benrahma to miss out for West Ham against Wolves?
The skilful winger’s defensive contribution has been questioned after Sunday’s draw with Arsenal.
And Claret and Hugh claims that Benrahma could be dropped for our next game against Wolves with Pablo Fornals taking his place.
If that does end up being the case, it will be another massive blow for the Algerian.
The former Brentford ace has received plenty of criticism from David Moyes since he moved to the London Stadium, most of it unjustified.
Benrahma’s confidence has undoubtedly been dented after Moyes’s unwarranted criticism this season. And if he is dropped against Wolves, it really could affect him.
Let’s just hope that he is mentally strong enough to bounce back and show Moyes exactly what he can offer West Ham United.
Benrahma certainly has the talent. He just needs a bit of luck. A goal would go a long way to unlocking the 25-year-old’s confidence and true potential.
