According to a report from Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport, AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko has been offered to West Ham United. And some Hammers fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

David Moyes absolutely must bring a new striker to the London Stadium before the transfer window closes if West Ham are to have any chance of finishing inside the top six this season.

The Hammers have made a superb start to their 2020/21 Premier League campaign.

We are currently sitting in seventh spot in the table, just two points adrift of fourth placed Liverpool.

There is genuine optimism in East London that we could finish inside the European places this season.

Unfortunately for us, however, it is debatable whether the club’s owners feel the same way.

West Ham have a great chance to kick on. One or two top class signings this month could take us to another level.

 

As things stand, however, the Hammers seem to be nowhere near signing anybody.

One option for West Ham could be Roma striker Edin Dzeko.

We can surely do better than the former Manchester City ace, however.

The 112-capped Bosnia international, who has two Premier League titles to his name, is well past his best.

The Hammers need to move way from bringing ageing stars on huge salaries to the London Stadium. It hasn’t worked before and it probably won’t again.
