West Ham have made an enquiry for Wolves attacker Adama Traore according to a report from Football Insider.
Hammers boss David Moyes is desperate to bolster his attacking ranks at the London Stadium this summer.
In all honesty though, the West Ham manager really should be looking to sign an established goalscorer.
Moyes has history in converting wingers into centre-forwards. Just look at what the Scot did with Michail Antonio and Mark Arnautovic.
Surely that tactic can’t keep working, however. And more importantly, why keep trying to replicate it when there are actual centre-forwards out there on the market?
West Ham fans baffled by Adama Traore report
The 25-year-old is a really exciting winger when he is in full flow.
The former Barcelona ace possesses blistering pace and is strong as an ox.
His goalscoring record is horrendous, however. He has just 10 goals to his name in 131 games for Wolves (Transfermarkt).
Traore hasn’t racked up that many assists either during those games with just 18 to his name (Transfermarkt).
Hopefully there isn’t much substance to this rumour.
Some West Ham fans have taken to Twitter and shared their dismay at the fact that Adama Traore could even be a target for David Moyes this summer…
