Reported West Ham United transfer target Arthur Melo has allegedly just been offered to Arsenal by Juventus.
That’s according to a report form Italian media outlet Calciomercatoweb who claim that the 25-year-old has been offered to Arsenal on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy him for €38 million (£32 million) next summer included in the deal.

Hammers boss David Moyes has been been persistently linked with a move to sign Arsenal linked ace Arthur for the past month or so (Marca).

Now we’ve been dealt somewhat of a blow though…
Arsenal offered West Ham target Arthur Melo
Calciomercatoweb reckon that the Gunners have been offered the chance to sign the 22-capped Brazil international.
That is obviously a big blow for West Ham. As things stand, Arsenal are streets ahead of us and the Juventus star will undoubtedly prefer to move to the Emirates rather than the London Stadium this summer.
The 25-year-old is a truly top-class midfielder.
The Juventus ace is a deep-lying play-maker by trade and he possesses stunning technical ability.
The former Barcelona ace’s passing is the best attribute he has. In 20 Serie A appearances last season, Arthur made 34.9 passes on average per game and recorded a completion rate of 89.7% (Who Scored).
He has plenty of experience of playing at the very highest level and is a serial winner with two league titles, a Coppa Italia and a Copa Libertadores to his name.

Football Transfers recently described him as a ‘fantastic’ player.
He earns round €5 million (£4.23 million or £81k-a-week) per year at Juve…NET! So taking into account the 50% tax rate for the highest earners in the UK, West Ham or Arsenal would have to pay Arthur Melo around £160k-a-week in order to match that salary.
We just can’t see West Ham being able to offer the Brazilian those kind of wages. Arsenal should be able to do it with ease though.
And for that reason, we believe there is a far greater chance that the Juventus star will end up at the Emirates rather than the London Stadium this summer.
