West Ham United are allegedly keen to sign FC Koln centre-back Timo Hubers in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to a report from The Daily Mail who claim that the Hammers could face competition for the German’s signature from the likes of Newcastle, Leeds, Crystal Palace and Southampton.

West Ham manager David Moyes desperately needs to strengthen his central defensive ranks at the London Stadium in the summer.
Angelo Ogbonna is currently out with an ACL injury and will be 34 before the start of next season.
Meanwhile, Craig Dawson will be 32 soon and Issa Diop has been heavily linked with a move to Lyon (Foot Mercato).
So it is clear to see that Moyes needs to add some real quality and youth to his centre-back options in the summer. And it looks like that is exactly what he wants to do.
West Ham eyeing Timo Hubers swoop
The 25-year-old FC Koln centre-half is firmly on the Hammers’ radar ahead of the summer transfer window according to The Daily Mail and he could be available for just £6 million.
We think that Hubers would be a very smart addition for West Ham.
In 15 Bundesliga appearances for Koln this season, the German centre-back has averaged 2.1 tackles, 2.7 interceptions, 4.9 clearances and 0.8 blocks (Who Scored).
He has won an average of 2.5 aerial duels per match. Hubers is a very decent passer of the football. From 64.3 passes per game, he has recorded an impressive completion rate of 82.6% (Who Scored).
Hubers is very strong. Standing at 6ft 3in tall, he’s commanding in the air and he possesses a very good positional sense.
£6 million for the German seems like very good value to us.
And if Moyes brings him to West Ham for that kind of fee, he could end up being a very good signing for the us. Whether the Hammers will be able to beat the likes of Newcastle and Leeds for his signature remains to be seen though.
