West Ham United are allegedly now eyeing up a move to sign free agent striker Andrea Belotti in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb who claim that Hammers boss David Moyes is weighing up a deal to sign the 28-year-old striker.

West Ham allegedly could face competition from Borussia Dortmund for Belotti’s signature though.
Signing a top-class striker will be absolutely vital for Moyes this summer.

Both of those deals appear as though they will be very difficult indeed to get done as things stand. And it seems as though Moyes has a backup option…
West Ham eye Andrea Belotti swoop
The Hammers striker search continues to rumble on with no clear end in sight unfortunately. And it seems as though Moyes has at least one contingency target lined up.
TuttoMercatoWeb claim that the Hammers could battle it out with Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign the 28-year-old free agent striker this summer.
The Italian is someone who is seemingly well suited to Premier League football.
We would take Belotti at the London Stadium on a free transfer all day long.
The Torino striker has a proven track record of scoring goals at the very highest level for a sustained period of time.
The 41-capped Italy international has bagged 170 goals in 433 career games for club and country (Transfermarkt).

Belotti is an incredibly hard-working forward. He possesses superb movement and is always a real handful for opposing defenders. The Torino ace certainly knows where the back of the net is as well.
With Belotti available on a free transfer, bringing him to the London Stadium will be an absolute no-brainer for David Moyes.
Hopefully the Hammers manage to sign either Broja or Scamacca in the summer transfer window AND bring the 28-year-old free agent in as well.
If West Ham sign Andrea Belotti on a free transfer, there wouldn’t be any real downsides would there?
The main thing this summer will be for Moyes not to allow another transfer window to pass without signing a centre-forward.
