West Ham defender Craig Dawson is set to join Wolves imminently after a fee was agreed claims a talkSPORT reporter.

Wolverhampton Wanderers got one over on relegation rivals West Ham with a 1-0 win last weekend.

And off the pitch David Moyes and Julen Lopetegui must scramble to do business in their bid to avoid the drop.

Ironically one of those potential deals involve the two clubs with Wolves pushing to try and sign Dawson from West Ham – just as they did in the summer.

As most Hammers fans will be aware, Dawson wants to move to a club further north for family reasons.

Journalist Darren Lewis claimed last week that West Ham were willing to let Dawson join Wolves as they plan on signing an upgrade this month.

Then in his press conference before Wolves, West Ham boss Moyes made the Dawson situation clear after confirming a bid from Lopetegui.

Speaking in his pre-Wolves press conference, the Scot opened up on the Dawson situation.

“We’ve had an offer from Wolves,” Moyes told the press (whufc.com).

“We’ve not accepted it and that’s as much as I can tell you.”

Some have questioned whether it would be wise for West Ham to sell Dawson to a direct relegation rival.

Well that’s exactly what West Ham are about to do according to talkSPORT’s Alex Crook, who says a £3.3m deal has been struck.

And Wolves are hoping to have the West Ham fan favourite in their squad for the weekend’s game against Man City.

“Wolves have agreed a £3.3m fee with West Ham for defender Craig Dawson and are hoping to get the deal completed in time for Sunday’s trip to Man City,” Crook said on Twitter.

“Dawson is a long-term target who came close to joining in the summer…

“Seems unlikely Wolves sign Felipe now. Dawson always Plan A.”

Farewell Ballon Dawson.
