Debate is raging among some West Ham United fans over whether the club should swap struggling £45 million striker Sebastien Haller for Lyon’s Moussa Dembele.

Reports have emerged claiming David Moyes wants to bring £30m rated Dembele to West Ham in January after he fell out of favour with the Ligue 1 side (The Sun).
West Ham have been linked with Dembele several times in the past.
But the Hammers have persisted with Haller, who has thus far struggled to adapt to playing for West Ham in the Premier League.

Haller’s Hammers struggles highlighted by less than 1 in 4 goal ratio
Haller has just eight goals in 35 Premier League appearances for West Ham since being signed by Manuel Pellegrini nearly 18 months ago.
The now Ivorian international striker divides opinion among West Ham fans.
Some believe he is lazy and does not have the desire or ability to make it work with the Hammers.
Others insist he has been misused in a lone striker role ever since signing for the club having excelled as part of a two or three up front throughout his career so far.
Moyes has laid down the gauntlet to Haller to prove his worth for West Ham since Michail Antonio’s injury.
But he has struggled to shine in games against Liverpool and Fulham.

Moyes wants Dembele, doesn’t fancy Haller – report
The Sun claims Moyes simply does not fancy Haller. But the report states he is a ‘huge fan’ of Dembele.
Ironically during the summer window, Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol claimed there had been discussions between West Ham and Lyon which would see Haller AND Issa Diop swapped for Dembele. You can read the full story here.
That seemed somewhat fanciful and so it proved.
But with money tight at West Ham due to the global health crisis, fans have been discussing the idea of throwing in the towel on Haller and swapping him for Dembele.
“Hammers would you swap Haller for Dembele?” one West Ham supporter said on Twitter.
And the verdict was a unanimous yes with some suggesting West Ham should add Andriy Yarmolenko to the deal if it helps get it over the line in January.
