West Ham have been dealt a truly hammer £25 million Terem Moffi blow, with Lorient’s demands proving to be too steep.
Signing a top-class centre-forward will be vital for the West Ham boss this month, if he is to turn around his side’s fortunes.

Terem Moffi would be the absolutely perfect addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium, what with his pace, power and energy.
It seems as though Moyes will have his work cut-out if he is to bring there Nigeria international to West Ham though…
West Ham dealt Moffi blow
According to a report from The Daily Mail, Lorient are demanding £25 million for the fleet-footed attacker.
It is suggested that because of that, the Hammers might have to wait until the summer to sign Moffi, because his price-tag exceeds our January transfer budget.
And as a result, we could then miss out on the Lorient star because of the extra competition that we will face for his signature.
What a shame that is. The 23-year-old would have been a really exciting signing for West Ham this month.
Described by Total Football Analysis as a ‘nuisance’ Moffi is exactly what we need at the London Stadium, and he would be the perfect foil for Gianluca Scamacca. Moffi would take West Ham’s attacking play to a whole new level entirely.

He is absolutely rapid and is strong as an ox. He is generally a nuisance for opposing defenders and would offer a completely different option to Gianluca Scamacca through the middle, what with his power and pace.
He’s been on fire in Ligue 1 this season, with 11 goals in 17 games for Lorient to his name (Transfermarkt).
It seems as though the Hammers will have to wait a while before we have a chance of signing Terem Moffi though.
And that will be a big blow to David Moyes’s January plans.
