West Ham could face strong competition for Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani from Newcastle in the January transfer window.
That’s according to a report from Tutto Mercato Web who claim that the Albania international is not happy with his lack of playing time at Inter, and Newcastle could make a January move for him.
Newcastle’s interest in bringing Asllani to St James’ Park may well make it mission impossible for the Hammers though.

Both Moyes and Eddie Howe will be keen to bolster their central midfield ranks at the London Stadium and St James’ Park respectively in January.
Asllani is a proper talent, and will be a superb addition for whichever club wins the race for his signature.
But where will the Inter Milan ace be plying his trade after the new year?
West Ham dealt blow as Newcastle eye January transfer window swoop for ‘special’ star
Tutto Mercato Web claim that with Asllani unhappy at Inter Milan, West Ham and Newcastle could try to sign him in the January transfer window.
With the Magpies’ immense wealth though, the Hammers may find it difficult to win the race for the 20-year-old’s signature.
One thing’s for sure, the Albanian is a very exciting young footballer, and both Moyes and Howe will be desperate to sign him.
The 20-year-old made a huge impression in Serie A last season and was one of Empoli’s standout performers.

Asllani is a tough tackling and energetic defensive midfielder by trade. He is very strong in the challenge and quick along the ground.
On face value, the Inter Milan ace seems to possess all of the attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League. He is still very young though and is obviously unproven at the very highest level for a sustained period of time.
He has been described as a ‘special talent’ by Albania Hub. At just 20-years-old, the Inter Milan ace has a huge ceiling.
I would absolutely love West Ham to sign Kristjan Asllani in the January transfer window, but it seems as though Newcastle will be a big problem for us.
