According to a report from Fichajes, West Ham United already have an agreement in place to sign Napoli defender Nikola Maksimovic in the summer.

And what a great signing the 29-year-old centre back would be for the Hammers.
Especially on a free transfer!
Centre-back will be a key area for David Moyes to address at the London Stadium this summer, albeit not the Scot’s priority.
Fabian Balbuena is looking likely to leave with his contract expiring at the end of this season.

Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson will be 33 and 31 respectively at the start of next season.
Meanwhile, the likes of Frederik Alves, Aji Alese and Jamal Baptiste are probably too young at the moment to be thrown in at Premier League level.
West Ham signing Nikola Maksimovic would be a massive coup
The experienced Napoli ace would be an excellent addition for David Moyes’s side.
In 15 Serie A outings for Napoli this season, Maksimovic has averaged 1 tackle, 1.3 interceptions and 2.7 clearances per game. He has also won an average of 1.9 aerial duals per match (Who Scored).

The 29-year-old is a grizzly, seasoned defender. He seems to be ideally suited to the robust and intense nature of the Premier League what with his tenacious and aggressive playing style.
And picking him up on a free transfer this summer seems like an absolute no brainer for the Hammers.
David Sullivan, David Gold and Karren Brady are far from popular in east London.
Many of their business deals have been criticised by the Hammers fans in the past.
Signing Maksimovic on a free transfer could end up being a masterstroke from GSB, however.
And if Moyes truly wants the Serbian, Sully and Gold quite simply must make it happen.
