Ben Jacobs delivers update on Jhon Duran joining West Ham in the summer
Speaking on Give Me Sport’s YouTube channel, Ben Jacobs issued an update on Jhon Duran potentially moving to the London Stadium in the summer.
The Colombian striker moved to Al-Nassr in a £71m deal last January, and six months later, he moved to Fenerbahce on a season-long loan.
The 22-year-old is having a sub-par season in Turkey, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 21 games in all competitions.

What should be the upper limit in terms of the transfer fee? 🤔
Duran could be on the move again in the summer, and Jacobs claims that if Callum Wilson were to leave West Ham, the former Aston Villa forward could once again emerge as a transfer target.
The Hammers had tried to sign the Colombian before he left for Saudi Arabia, so that is something worth considering.
Jacobs told Give Me Sport’s YouTube channel: “And there’s obviously a few Premier League clubs watching very closely. West Ham, for example, had made an actual bid for Jhon Duran before he went to Saudi Arabia, but Taty Castellanos and Pablo have now arrived as well.
“But if, for example, Callum Wilson went during the summer, they might be back, but I doubt it’s going to be something that we’re talking about during the winter.”
How much is Duran expected to cost?
Al-Nassr would probably agree that they overspent for Duran and will not be able to sell him for what they signed him for.
However, they could use his age and Premier League experience to their advantage and demand a fee in the region of £50m.
For that price tag, provided West Ham are still a top-flight club, they would consider signing the Colombian.
It would also hinge on how well Pablo Felipe fares, and if they are satisfied with him as the second striker to Taty Castellanos, they may not feel the need to spend that kind of money on another number nine.
