Callum Wilson reminded everyone at West Ham United what he’s capable of with his winning goal against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Wilson joined West Ham on a free transfer in the summer after his contract expired with Newcastle.

After Nuno Espirito Santo brought Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe to the London Stadium, it was claimed that Wilson could be released from West Ham.

However, it has now been claimed that West Ham want to keep Wilson at all costs.

The chances of escaping relegation just went up 👆

The 33-year-old may not possess the pace and mobility that he once did, but he still knows where the back of the net is.

Allowing Wilson to leave West Ham on a free transfer would be an absolute disaster of the very highest order.

Despite claims now suggesting that he will stay at the London Stadium, one Premier League club have just made an enquiry for him, it seems.

Premier League London club want West Ham’s Callum Wilson

Wilson has scored five goals for West Ham since joining the club in the summer.

Crucially, one of those goals earned the Hammers all three points against Spurs, while his brace against Bournemouth was good enough for a point.

Meanwhile, Wilson’s goal against Burnley levelled the scores just before half-time.

Not only does he score goals, but he scores them at important times.

If Nuno can find a way to provide him with better service, there’s every chance that he will score regularly between now and the end of the season.

And that may be the difference between survival and relegation for West Ham United.

Crystal Palace in for Callum Wilson

According to a report from talkSPORT, Crystal Palace have made an enquiry to the Hammers about potentially signing the experienced striker this month.

If you could only keep ONE of these two players in January – who would it be?!

As mentioned previously, West Ham would be mad to let Wilson leave now.

He is a proven goal-scorer in the Premier League and that’s exactly what you need when you’re battling relegation.

The Hammers now have a real chance of staying in the Premier League after Wilson’s winning goal against Tottenham.

The Hammers owners allowing him to walk out the door now would really anger the fans.

Wilson is the man who could keep West Ham in the top flight and for that reason, he’s priceless to the east London club right now.
