Hammers boss David Moyes will be desperate to bring a top class striker to the London Stadium this summer.

Toffees chief Carlo Ancelotti is clearly in the same boat at Goodison Park.

It is thought that West Ham and Everton are both chasing Blackburn hitman Adam Armstrong.

The 24-year-old striker has been on fire this season and he definitely seems to be ready to make the step up to the Premier League.

West Ham leading Everton in Adam Armstrong race

That’s according to The Sun.

And the Hammers gain would very much be the Toffees loss.

Armstrong really is a top class centre-forward.

The 24-year-old is incredibly mobile, possesses blistering pace and works his socks off each and every time he takes to the pitch.

Armstrong is a great finisher as well. He finished second in the Championship scoring charts behind only Ivan Toney with 28 goals in 40 league games for Blackburn this season (Transfermarkt).

Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray recently described the former Newcastle ace as an explosive centre-forward (Evening Express).

The Sun claims that the mobile forward is available for around £25 million. We think that’s just too much money for a player heading into the final year of his contract. And that price will surely come down as the summer goes on.

Armstrong would be a great signing

The former Newcastle ace is definitely ready to take the step up to the next level.

If West Ham can beat Everton to his signature it will be a sign of the progress we have made this season.

The 24-year-old hitman would be an exceptional addition to David Moyes’s squad at the London Stadium.
