Some West Ham fans think Firpo would be an exceptional addition to David Moyes’s squad at the London Stadium.
Moyes needs to bolster his left-back options this summer.
More quality competition is required for Aaron Cresswell with the Liverpool born ace set to turn 32 next season.
Meanwhile, Arthur Masuaku is far better when playing in the wing-back role. His injury problems are a huge concern for the club as well.
Junior Firpo joining West Ham would be massive
He is exactly the kind of signing the Hammers should be making this summer.
The 24-year-old has been described as an outstanding player who excels in 1v1’s, both from an attacking and a defensive perspective (Total Football Analysis).
Firpo can operate as both a left-back and a left wing-back.
He has bags of pace, impressive technique and could be a real asset for West Ham both defensively and in the final third.
The 24-year-old would certainly be an upgrade on Aaron Cresswell. That’s not diminishing the 31-year-old’s impressive achievements this season.
Cress has made huge improvements under David Moyes over the past 12 months. His deliveries from set-pieces are outstanding as well.
The Liverpool-born left-back lacks any kind of pace, however, and his positional awareness can be very poor at times.
