The Hammers want to sign the two-time Premier League winner according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
The Toffees now want to sign the 34-year-old former Manchester City ace according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
So it seems as though West Ham may well have their work cut-out if they are to sign Dzeko this month.

West Ham face Everton competition for Edin Dzeko
Missing out on the Bosnian to the Toffees would be somewhat of a blow for the Hammers.
Sure, the 34-year-old isn’t the player he once was. He is still a top class performer, however. And the Roma ace, who earns £125k-a-week (Gazzetta dello Sport) would be an ideal short-term option for West Ham.
Dzeko is apt at playing the lone striker role. He is very strong in the air and is a great finisher.

The 34-year-old has scored 346 goals in 731 career games for club and country. He’s scored eight goals in 20 games for Roma this season (Transfermarkt).
With Said Benrahma’s deal now being made permanent, it seems as though West Ham are closing in on the signing of Jesse Lingard on loan (talkSPORT).
That’s all well and good. But we desperately need a striker as well. With time running out, it looks as though a foreign loan may well be our best option.
Dzeko is a very good option for us, despite his age. Everton’s alleged interest in the Bosnia international will undoubtedly be an unwelcome inconvenience for West Ham, however.
Carlo Ancelotti is overseeing a very exciting project at Goodison Park. And the Toffees may well prove to be an extremely attractive prospect for the 34-year-old striker.
