West Ham could get La Liga star Arnaut Danjuma for £23m less than his £62m release clause and he wants an England return.
The Guardian and a host of other outlets were reporting last night that West Ham are seriously interested in Dutch forward Danjuma.
David Moyes has long been a fan of the player since he tore Ben Johnson to ribbons in a pre-season game at the London Stadium a few years ago.

So the Scot’s interest in the ex Cherries winger is nothing new.
Indeed West Ham were linked with Danjuma – who can play on both wings and is often used as a striker by Villarreal – before he left Bournemouth for Spain (The Sun).
But instead West Ham spent nearly £30m on Nikola Vlasic while Danjuma was snapped up for just £21m by Villarreal (Sky Sports).

Speaking back in February, transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano revealed Villarreal had inserted a £62m release clause in Danjuma’s contract – as reported at the time by Hammers News.
“There’s a release clause into Arnaut Danjuma contract and it’s worth €75m (£62), valid in the summer,” Romano said on Twitter.
“Villarreal manager Unai Emery loves him – he’s now also playing as hybrid striker. Eight goals in Liga, four goals in UCL and English top clubs are monitoring Danjuma.”

But there appears to be some good news for West Ham in their hopes of landing a player who has been dubbed a “hybrid striker” in Spain.
Because West Ham could get La Liga star Danjuma for £23m less than his £62m release clause and he wants an England return.
Yahoo Sport claim the fee Villarreal want from West Ham for Danjuma is ‘expected to be around £38.7m’.

“The club are believed to have approached Villarreal about the deal, suggesting they are serious about the move,” Yahoo Sport reports.
“According to Relevo journalist Toni Juanmarti, the fee is expected to be around €36million, with variables added onto that.”
That is £23m less than Danjuma’s release clause.
And speaking recently the 25-year-old, who scored 10 goals and laid on three assists in 23 games last season, said he would love to return to England.
In a recent interview with 90min, Danjuma admitted he would relish a move back to England and says he has family living here.

“I 100% enjoyed my time in England. Looking back now I no way appreciated it as much as I should have done when I lived there,” he said.
“For me, it’s just such a nice country to live in and I’m fluent in the language so that helps as well! I’m trying my best at Spanish as well. I’ve got family that still lives in England.
“In terms of the Premier League, it’s indescribable. The thing I will never forget in the Premier League is the fans. If you just walk into the stadium you cannot replicate the feeling of a Premier League game elsewhere in the world, it’s different.

“So in that regard you are always going to miss a bit of England. If I’m returning one day, I guess that’s up to the way I perform and what the future holds for me.”
Last month Danjuma’s agent Michale Moses told Radio Castellon a move could well be on the cards this summer.
“There is a 50 per cent chance that Danjuma will leave this summer,” Moses told Radio Castellon as transcribed by Football Espana.
