West Ham United are apparently eyeing up a really exciting move to sign an incredibly talented winger this summer.

The upcoming summer transfer window will be a vital one for West Ham, with the addition of a left winger featuring high up on our list of priorities.

Hammers boss David Moyes allowed Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals to leave the London Stadium in January, and was said to be chasing the likes of Jota to fill the void left behind by the Algerian and the Spaniard.

The fact that the Scot didn’t bring in an attacker in January was beyond a joke if you ask me, but what’s done is done.

All that matters now is rectifying that error, and it seems as though Moyes plans to do exactly that this summer.

A former Premier League star is thought to be right in the sights of the West Ham boss…

West Ham could bring winger back to the PL this summer

Getting the signing of a proven left winger over the line this summer will be an absolute necessity for Moyes.

And according to a report from Turkish media outlet Takvim, West Ham are said to be hot on the trail of Wilfried Zaha.

I think he’d be an exceptional addition for us, in spite of his advancing years. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp once described Zaha as ‘world-class’ (Four Four Two).

The 31-year-old joined Galatasaray as a free agent from Crystal Palace in the summer, and he has bagged 10 goals and five assists in 37 games so far for the Turkish giants. During his time with Palace, Zaha racked up 90 goals and 76 assists in 458 games (Transfermarkt).

The 31-capped Ivory Coast international is the sort of player who you love if he plays for your club, but hate him if he’s lining up against you! That really is nothing more than a huge compliment to him.

He has a proven history of terrorising opposing defenders in the Premier League, and he’d be a real asset for us.

If Moyes manages to bring the winger to West Ham in the summer, I’ll be absolutely delighted. However, I believe his mammoth wages will undoubtedly be a big problem for us, and I just can’t see this one happening.
