West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has praised Arsenal for showing class and restraint over their Declan Rice pursuit.
Speculation about a Declan Rice move from West Ham to Arsenal has been incessant of late.
Rice bowed out of West Ham in perfect style by leading the club to a first major trophy for 43 years when he lifted the Europa Conference League on Wednesday night.
The Rice rumour mill has been whirring at a rate of knots with Arsenal and Bayern Munich heavily linked with the beloved Hammers captain.
It has been the worst kept secret in football that Rice had a private agreement with West Ham that he could leave the summer after Mark Noble’s retirement.

Rice turned down a record contract offer from West Ham and will be sold should a Champions League club meet the £100m plus valuation this summer.
It will also be a record deal for Arsenal or Bayern if they meet West Ham’s asking price.
There has been claim and counter claim about who Rice might choose between Bayern, the Gunners or other clubs reportedly interested such as Man United.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is said to be planning to add a personal touch to his attempts to sign Rice from West Ham.
Although West Ham supporters have taken umbrage to the public nature of Arsenal’s interest in their talisman.
Reports suggest Arsenal will make a record bid for Rice now West Ham have got the European final out of the way.

Hammers chief respects decency of Rice suitors
The club’s majority stakeholder has confirmed the midfielder has played his last game for the Hammers.
And West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has praised Arsenal for showing class and restraint over their Rice pursuit.
When asked by talkSPORT whether West Ham have received an offer for Rice from the likes of Arsenal, Sullivan praised the conduct of the interested parties.
“No. But I think the offers will start to come today,” Sullivan said.
“There are three or four clubs who have shown interest, but out of respect to West Ham, while we’re still playing, you don’t make offers for players.
“That’s not the way decent clubs do things.”
