Hammers boss David Moyes is clearly keen to build an exciting, young and hungry team at the London Stadium.
He has said so numerous times.
And he has backed up his words with actions so far this summer.
Moyes has already brought in four young starlets since the transfer window opened. And another one could be set to follow.
West Ham chasing Lewis Leigh
Football.London claims Moyes wants to bring the 17-year-old Preston midfielder to East London this summer.
We could face competition from Arsenal, Everton and Leicester City for the teenager’s signature, however.
Leigh is highly rated at Deepdale and has recently been handed the number 17 shirt.
The 17-year-old is a cultured footballer and the calibre of the Premier League clubs chasing his signature is evidence of just how good he is.
Whether we are able to beat our rivals in the race for Leigh remains to be seen.
The Preston youngster would be an exciting signing for there future for West Ham. Hopefully he is tempted by the trust and faith we have in youth as a football club.
