West Ham boss David Moyes is plotting ambitious revenge on Liverpool and one in the eye for Spurs with a move to sign striker Martin Terrier.
As Hammers fans know only too well Moyes has been operating with just one striker in the West Ham squad for the last 18 months.
Despite having hijacked West Ham’s interest to sign Darwin Nunez, Liverpool continue to be linked with forwards after allowing Sadio Mane and Divock Origi to leave this summer.

There is also talk Reds forward Roberto Firmino could be the next to depart Anfield.
Liverpool’s Nunez move came after Klopp hijacked West Ham’s bid for Luis Diaz in January with Moyes’ believing he had the Colombian all but signed.
And West Ham’s bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur mean business this summer with Antonio Conte adamant he wants two quality players for every position, with an able deputy for Harry Kane one of the last pieces of his Spurs jigsaw.

West Ham look set to end their long search for a new striker with the imminent arrival of Italy international Gianluca Scamacca – providing personal terms can be agreed and all goes well with his medical.
But a host of reports have claimed Moyes is not done there and wants to sign another forward who can play the second striker role.
The Scot’s search has reportedly taken him to familiar territory and a very serious interest in a player allegedly wanted by Jurgen Klopp and Tottenham.

That’s as West Ham boss Moyes plots ambitious revenge on Liverpool and one in the eye for Spurs with a move to sign striker Terrier.
West Ham signed defender Nayef Aguerd from Rennes for £30m earlier this summer.
At the time there was speculation the Hammers wanted a double deal for Aguerd’s close friend Terrier, who scored 21 Ligue 1 goals last season.

There were even hints on social media from Terrier and Aguerd that might be a possibility.
But links to Tottenham (GFFN) and Liverpool (L’Equipe and GFFN) looked ominous for West Ham.
Now BUT – as also reported by GFFN – claims West Ham want Terrier in addition to Scamacca and must pay £34m.
Should West Ham be willing to meet the asking price, Moyes will surely feel confident of beating Liverpool and Tottenham to Terrier.

Not only because of the established good relations between West Ham and Rennes, but the close friendship between Aguerd and Terrier.
“The Hammers are very interested in signing the 25-year-old Frenchman, say the outlet BUT, who managed 21 Ligue 1 goals last season and was identified as a potential signing during the many scouting trips to watch then-Rennes centre-back Nayef Aguerd, who the London club eventually signed for €35m (£30m) earlier this summer,” states GFFN.
“However, the London club could be put off by Rennes’ €40m asking price for the former Strasbourg, Lille and Lyon man with West Ham still looking to strengthen in other areas of the team too.

“Liverpool have also identified Terrier as a potential Roberto Firmino replacement this transfer window while Tottenham were reportedly monitoring the player at the end of last season after the player was pre-selected for June’s France international squad by Didier Deschamps.”
GFFN has previously reported that West Ham’s head of recruitment Rob Newman was seen at Rennes’ Roazhon Park numerous times last season to watch both Aguerd and Terrier.
