Hammers boss David Moyes will be keen to bolster his central defensive ranks at the London Stadium this summer.

In fact, signing a top class centre-back is actually one of Moyes’s top three priorities according to club insiders Claret and Hugh.

West Ham have been linked with a whole host of centre-backs since the end of last season.

And now there is a new name to add to the list.

West Ham chasing David Zima

The Slavia Prague centre-back is on the Hammers’ radar according to a report from The Athletic.

The 20-year-old defender is very highly rated in the game. He could be available for just £6.5 million this summer (The Athletic).

That would be a real bargain for West Ham.

And the Hammers apparently have a real advantage in the race for Zima’s signature.

The Czech Republic international shares the same agent as current West Ham star Tomas Soucek.

If Moyes bring Zima to the London Stadium for around £6.5 million this summer, it would be a very smart move from the Scot.

Money is tight in East London, so Moyes will have to be thrifty in his player recruitment.

Zima seems like the ideal summer signing for the Hammers. Standing at 6ft 3in tall, the Czech starlet is an absolute monster in the air. He is big and strong and seems to be tailor made for the Premier League.
