West Ham have been handed somewhat of a boost with the news that Liverpool have dropped out of the race to sign Jhon Duran.
The Daily Mail recently claimed that both West Ham and Liverpool are keen to sign the MLS youngster this January.
David Moyes desperately needs to bolster his attacking ranks at the London Stadium this winter.

It appears as though that is no longer the case though…
West Ham handed second Jhon Duran chance as Liverpool drop out of race
According to Calciomercato.it journalist Raffaele Amato, the Reds are no longer battling for the youngster’s signature.
So the door could well now be open for the Hammers. And that’s great news.
The 19-year-old Colombia international is on the radars of a whole host of Premier League clubs, and it’s little wonder as to why.
Fortunately West Ham though, Liverpool appear to have given up in the race to sign him.
The young attacker is a real talent and seemingly has everything needed to succeed on the world’s biggest stage. He is a centre-forward by trade but can also operate as a left winger.

Duran has bagged eight goals and six assists in 30 games for Chicago Fire this season (Transfermarkt).
The South American possesses blistering pace and has really impressive strength for someone so young.
He is obviously still incredibly raw and rough around the edges. It’s clear to see in some players that they have what it takes though. And the Colombian undoubtedly has something special about him.
Maybe now West Ham will have a good chance to sign Jhon Duran after Liverpool dropped out of the race.
