West Ham are the only club to have made an offer for Inter Milan ace Christian Eriksen according to a report from Corriere della Sera.

The Hammers desperately need to bolster their ranks before the transfer window slams shut.

The addition of a new centre-forward has to be David Moyes’s priority.

There are other areas of the Scot’s squad that are in urgent need of strengthening as well, however.

And it seems as though Inter Milan ace Christian Eriksen is on West Ham’s radar.

The Hammers were first linked with a move for the 103-capped Denmark international back in December (Eurosport).

Gazzetta dello Sport (Print edition, December 22nd, pages 2 and 3) then reported that West Ham could sign the former Tottenham ace, 28, on loan this month.

Corriere della Sera now suggest that the Hammers are the only club to have made a concrete offer for Eriksen.

West Ham concrete move for Christian Eriksen

It still seems unrealistic to us that the Dane will be arriving at the London Stadium this month.

The £12 million rated ace (ESPN) will demand around £120k-a-week according to Calcio Mercato.

West Ham may well be able to stretch to that but if the truth be known, it will be far more important for us to sign a striker, a left-back and a central midfielder.

Christian Eriksen is a world-class player. The 28-year-old would obviously improve the Hammers. Signing him would be somewhat of a needless luxury, however.

David Moyes must get his priorities right this month. In an ideal world, signing the former Spurs ace would be a no-brainer. West Ham have more pressing matters at hand at the moment, however.
