Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to bolster his centre-back ranks at the London Stadium before the transfer window slams shut on August 31st.
It seems as though the Scot has identified the perfect man for the job.

If David Moyes brings the Croatia international to the London Stadium for just £15 million plus add-ons it will be sensational business for the club.

In 33 Ligue 1 appearances for Marseille last season, the Croatian scored two goals and registered one assist. In those outings, the Croatian averaged 0.9 tackles, 1.3 interceptions and 3.9 clearances per game. He also won an average of 2.5 aerial duals per match (Who Scored).
The Croatian is at an age where he will continue to get better and better under the guidance of Moyes as well.
