Two more strikers West Ham explored moves for in January have been named in a new report as fans fume over the club’s lack of signings.
David Moyes made it clear he was looking to bring a new striker to West Ham in the winter window.
But the wait goes on for at least another six months after the club’s failure to get the players the manager wanted.

The fact there were no new arrivals in east London when the window closed has sparked a backlash from angry supporters.
Yesterday Moyes said it was not for the want of trying with West Ham having bid for several forwards (whufc.com).
The Hammers reportedly submitted bids for several strikers including Hugo Ekitike, Darwin Nunez, Raphinha and Duvan Zapata.

Two more strikers West Ham explored moves for in January named in new report as Hammers become common denominator
But now two more strikers West Ham explored moves for in January have been named in a new report from The Athletic.
According to The Athletic, West Ham wanted Lille striker Jonathan David and New York City FC forward Valentin Castellanos.
Calcio Mercato reported back in December that Canadian striker David would welcome a move to West Ham.

But speaking to Radio Canada ahead of the window opening, David’s agent said his client would most likely stay at Lille the summer before moving on.
Manchester Evening News also reported in December that West Ham boss Moyes wanted to bring 23-year-old forward MLS striker Castellanos to the London Stadium.
Well when the window came around West Ham did explore moves for both according to The Athletic.
Both would have been very welcome additions. David has scored 15 goals in 24 games for Lille this season and has put Canada on the verge of reaching the World Cup.

Castellanos scored 22 goals and laid on eight assists in 35 games for NYC last season.
The two forwards brings the total to at least six different forwards, at different clubs, in different leagues West Ham supposedly explored moves for but once again failed to sign.
And it is a huge concern. Moyes has admitted he has been trying, without success, to sign a striker ever since he returned to the club two years ago.
West Ham are the common the denominator in all this. The club’s failure to be able to get a deal done for a forward is raising a real red flag over the lack of funds or ambition to get deals done.
That trend simply has to end in the summer. And Moyes must hope and pray it does not come back to haunt him during the second half of a season in which West Ham have so much to play for.
